Abhijata Iyengar helps Scotland celebrate 50th anniversary!
Abhijata Iyengar visited Scotland as part of our celebrations of 50 years of Iyengar Yoga in Scotland.
Abhijata’s visit in early May prior the IYUK convention was a wonderful celebration and gathering of the Scottish Iyengar Yoga community. Her visit to Edinburgh and teaching a class on the morning of Thursday 2nd May was a wonderful occasion for all!
Abhijata’s Edinburgh Workshop took place the Lauriston Hall on Thursday 2nd May, with 110 Iyengar Yoga students and teachers assembled. After a short welcome and mention for the 50th Anniversary of Iyengar Yoga in Scotland, Abhijata began the class. Firstly commented about Scotland and RIMYI being twins as both are celebrating 50 years, Abhijata when on to commented on the many smiles and laughter she had seen in the participants which generated a wonderful feeling for her. With her warm and welcoming tone, it quickly became apparent that it was going to be a very special occasion for us all.
